Moms outside US help with stroller question?
Can someone please tell me why do European strollers (buggies) have a lower weight maximum than US strollers. For example, the same exact brand and model will have a different weight max in Europe than in the US? Check out this link to Maclaren UK:

If you noticed under features it says up to 15 kilos/55 lbs (US) but 15 kilos converts to 33 pounds so the same exact stroller has a different maximum weight depending on what exactly? How can the same stroller hold up to 55 pounds in the US but only 33 pounds in the UK? This is just not for Maclarens, its most imported strollers I have seen have this 15 kilo weight max..If I want to buy an imported stroller, which weight max should I take into consideration??

It’s probably just an error from the manufacturer’s documentation. The other stollers seem to have proper carrying weight conversions, with the exception of the double strollers at 30kg showing as equal to 110lb. Whoever calculated the first one wrong obviously just doubled the value to get the second incorrect weight.
